File 1: And so they met

Natsumi has just arrived at her new job with Tokyo police and she is partnered with Miyuki. They are not sure whether are going to work out as partners so they decide to make the decision by coin toss but just as they are looking to see what the coin says. A red mini speeds past and they set out in pursuit. During the chase the find they like each other and decide to stick as partners.

File 2: Tokyo Typhoon Rally

A Yellow Lancia Delta is causing havoc in the city while there is a typhoon and Nakajima is out to get him. Meanwhile the Girls are trying to get a pregnant cat to a vet.

File 3: Love’s Highway Stars

Miyuki is going to a reunion and Nakajima is worried it is with an old flame and gets very depressed. Natsumi tries to cheer him up and the head for the place where Miyuki is staying. But Nakajima is confused and has taken them to a place with the same name on the other side of the country. Miyuki gets back before them and seeing them together gets the wrong idea. As the atmosphere is tense in the police station. The chief orders Miyuki and Nakajima out on a date. As they are following the itinerary they are under surveillance by most of the precinct.

File 4: On the Road Again

There is the opportunity for a woman to join the bike troop and Natsumi feels it is too good an opportunity to miss. But she finds herself missing Miyuki. And Miyuki is having problems because she keeps forgetting Natsumi is gone. When there is a dangerous fire on the road Natsumi gets involved and realises that she needs to transfer back.

I enjoyed the series but it is not really my taste in anime. I do not know how to describe this series there are high speed chases lots of great humour but at times the story seems slow. I would watch it again but it is not in the top ranks of anime but a more then good enough way to spend a few hours.

Full Metal Panic Mission 7 Episodes 22- 24

Episode 22: Jack in the Box

Tessa sends Kaname to get the key that will allow them to retake control of the submarine but she is chased by the two traitor pilots and she has to be saved by Sousuke. Meanwhile Gauron fires missiles at the American ship Kalinin is on and the idiot American submarine commander decides to chase and attack Toybox.

Episode 23: Field of giants

Kaname manages to give Tessa control of the Toybox and Tessa avoids the torpedoes. She is only just saved from Gauron by Sousuke. Gauron escapes and makes it to his AS and now Sousuke and Gauron face off in their AS’s who will win in this final confrontation?

Episode 24: Into the Blue

The battle is on Gauron vs Sousuke and it looks like victory will be Sousuke’s but Gauron has a dirty trick left he locks onto Sousuke’s AS and sets his AS to self-destruct. Can Sousuke get free and get Gauron’s AS off the submarine before it blows up.

This is a fantastic finish to the series and leaves you hungry for more. Kaname is cool when she is linked to the submarine.

Episode 19: Engaging 6 and 7

Tessa, Kaname and Melissa are having a bath and Melissa tells the story of how she, Sousuke and Kurz first met. How when she went looking for replacement pilots they were underachievers at the rookie camp and only their performance in a mission showed how good they were.

Episode 20: Venom's Flame

Mithril attack the chemical Weapons Island and Sousuke has the job of fighting Gauron. But Sousuke cannot make the Lambda driver work and Melissa gets injured. Kurz saves the day dropping a building on Gauron’s AS and causing it to over heat. Gauron is captured but is this what he wants?

Episode 21: Deep Trap

Sousuke upsets Kaname while he is feeling sorry for himself. Gauron has bought off two of the AS pilots and they set him free and he takes over the ship with Tessa and Kaname as his captives. A fire drill has locked everyone except for Kurz and Sousuke can the two of them free the girls and regain control of the ship?

The more serious tone of the episodes continues except in the episode 19, which has some of the funniest scenes in the series.

Episode 16: The wind blows at home 2

The team abandons the nuclear warhead and rushes to the nearest town to get help for the wounded pilot. But the painkillers start to wear of so they head for a base Sousuke used when he was a gorilla. They set a trap for Gauron when he comes after them but Zaied knows him too well and predicts all his plans turning it into a trap for Sousuke and the others.

Episode 17: The wind blows at home 3

Gauron is slaughtering the team, while Sousuke is wiping out the Savage AS’s. But can he defeat Zaied in time to save the team from Gauron?

Episode 18: Deep Sea Party

Sousuke asks Kaname to go to a tropical Island with him and she agrees but is upset when she finds it is going to be the Mithril base and was at Tessa’s request. But plans are changed when Gauron attacks and island with chemical labs on it. So Sousuke and Kaname are diverted to join the submarine on the way to the island


This DVD is more serious then the previous ones the last episode injects some of the funny action into the DVD. But these are more great episodes.

Full Metal Panic Mission 4 Episodes 13- 15

Episode 13: Cat and Kittens' Rock and Roll

Tessa is in a bad mood and when she comes across Melissa smoking and drinking in her quarters she explodes and both tempers flare. And a challenge is issued for an AS battle between the two of them loser must runs around the base naked. So Tessa gets Sousuke to train her in how to use an AS. Who will win and will Kurz get to see Tessa run around the base naked?

Episode 14: Is Narushima Burning?

Sousuke, Kaname, Shinji, Kyoto and Mizuki go to an AS show run by Shinji’s father but all is not well. Kaname is not happy because she wanted to go to the beach, Mizuki is hunting for boys and is upset when the slick AS pilot chooses Kaname ahead of her. Sousuke enters the competition because the Slick AS pilot is cheating and Shinji and his father join the team to try and help there relationship. Kaname joins the other team so she can beat Sousuke. In all mayhem ensues.

Episode 15: The wind blows at home 1

Gauron is alive and Sousuke has joined a team of Jar Head AS pilots who have been sent to take him out. The Pilots will not listen to Sousuke’s advice and are mauled by Gauron’s use of the Lambda Driver. Sousuke disables Gauron long enough for them to escape.


I must admit I did not really expected to see Gauron again but I was hoping for it I think Episode 13 is one of the best of the series. It contains everything that is good about the series.

Full Metal Panic Mission 3 Episodes 9-12

Episode 9: Dangerous Safehouse

A boy attacks an official at the airport and Commander Kalinin tells Tessa that he is a member of the terrorist group they are after and he may have the ability to use the Lambda driver. So Tessa goes to where he is being held to investigate whether this is true. While they are there they are attacked by the terrorists and Commander Kalinin trying to cover Tessa is shot in the back. Meanwhile Sousuke is suffering as he forgot to meet Kaname for some help with his Japanese history and she is not very happy at being stood up. Tessa is at Sousuke’s apartment when he gets home with the terrorist boy. Kaname shows up to apologise and sees Tessa coming out of Sousuke’s shower asking for a T-shirt to wear. Commander Kalinin is alive but badly injured in the possession of the terrorists

Episode 10: Run Running Ran

Kaname refuses to believe that Tessa is Sousuke’s superior and not his girlfriend. They find the boy has a transmitter implanted and after disabling it they got to hide in the school. But the boy has alerted his friends and they rescue him kidnap Tessa and Kaname and a missile has hit where Sousuke was and there is no sign of him.

Episode 11: Behemoth Awakening

Sousuke, Melissa, and Kurtz track Tessa and Kaname to the docks. While Tessa and Kaname and Commander Kalinin escape and try to find the Lambda driver AS. They find it but are recaptured before they can wreck it. Just as they are about to be killed Sousuke and Kurtz burst in and save them but are unable to stop Takuma getting into and activation the massive AS Behemoth.

Episode 12: One Night Stand

As they try to escape from the Behemoth Melissa’s AS is crushed with her inside. Tessa gets the submarine to send the arbolast and Sousuke, has to face off against the Lambda equipped massive Behemoth out matched as he is can he win.

Every episode of this series so far has been really funny and it gets more action packed as it gets further into the series. One thing I think is a nice touch on the DVD's is that when the copyright warning is on at the begining each DVD has a different character explaining how you may use the DVD. On this one Captain Tessa tells use if we break the copyright she will send a cruise missile down our chimneys.

Full Metal Panic Mission 2 Episodes 5-8

They are the secret Mithril mercenary organisation and the Sergeants Sousuke Sagara, Melissa Mao, and Kurz Weber are given mission: to look after the beautiful Kaname Chidori A very popular high school student in Tokyo but a bit irritable and nuts.


Episode 5: The Whispered One

Sousuke rescues Kaname finding out she is suspected of being a Whispered. They escape using a SAVAGE Armed Slave (AS). But are attacked by Gauron in a very advanced AS. But just before Sousuke is finished off Kurtz shows up and starts to fight Gauron sending Sousuke and Kaname to go back to the airbase to board the transport planes that are rescuing the other passengers.

Episode 6: Boy Meets Girl

There is no reply from Kurtz and Commander Kalinin has ordered his AS destroyed. Sousuke and Kaname missed the transport so they are back n the jungle trying to get to the sea. Sousuke tells Kaname to go on alone while he and Kurtz make a diversion but she refuses. Kaname is having flashes of the information she was being exposed to when captive. Tessa sends them an experimental AS the arbolast for them to use to escape.

Episode 7: Still Alive

Gauron and Sousuke fight it out and Sousuke finds that the arbolast has the lambda drive
Kaname finds she has knowledge of how to use the Lambda drive and explains to Sousuke how to use it, Can Sousuke master the Lambda drive and win and get to the meeting point in time to escape on the submarine.

Episode 8: Part Time Steady

Shirai is pestering Kaname, which is infuriating his girl friend Mizuki. Shirai dumps Mizuki who demands Sousuke pretend to be Shirai when her friends visit. This must be Sousuke’s most dangerous mission can he survive between the jealous Kaname and the psychotic Mizuki?

More hilarious action from Sousuke and Kaname but this volume has a lot more action lots of bullets and missiles flying and battles between giant robots.

Episode 1: The Guy I Like is Kinda a Sergeant

The episode starts with a women and man trying to escape the Soviet Union when they are attacked by a helicopter he man dies but the woman is saved by a giant robot. They are the Mithril organisation and the Sergeants Sousuke Sagara, Melissa Mao, and Kurz Weber are given mission: to look after the beautiful Kaname Chidori A very popular high school student in Tokyo but a bit irritable and nuts. Sousuke Sagara is sent in to the High school disguised as a student and comes off as a bit of and idiotic weirdo.

Episode 2: I Want to Protect You

Sousuke Sagara is completely out of his depth and is really getting on Kaname Chidori nerves. He is constantly thinking she is in danger and making a mess of everything. It is also revelled that the Mithril commander sent him in to try and get him to relax (Become a bit more normal). There is also a meeting between KJB agents and a Mercenary about kidnapping a Kaname,

Episode 3: Lingerie Panic

Kaname Chidori is friendlier with Sousuke. Sousuke gets ordered to sleep late on Sunday and Kurt takes the opportunity to go drinking with Kaname. The team sees a mysterious man climbing to Kaname's balcony. And this leads to Kaname getting very upset with Sousuke. Captain Tessa takes care of a research centre in Russia and recall the team but gives them a week off in Tokyo. Sousuke is still to go on the school trip but the mercenary is on the plane.

Episode 4: Kidnap

The mercenary takes over the plane and lands it in a military base. After landing the mercenary/ Gauron removes Kaname. Tessa realises that they have not removed the threat and that they need to attempt to rescue the passengers and will try for Kaname later. Sousuke sees a bomb being set and escapes the plane to contact Mithril. He is given orders to forget about Kaname and help with the escape of the passengers. But can he abandon her especially when he hears a shot from where she is being kept.

Sousuke Sagara is an absolute idiot who is only interested in the military and is unable to relate to normal people. Kaname Chidori is a beautiful high school girl who has a bit of a problem with her temper and Sousuke pushes all her buttons. The result is a hilarious action packed anime that you just cannot stop watching.
